Coop Students - 4 and 8 month options

We are looking for Coop Students to join our team. This opportunity will be based on site where successful candidates will be able to see how a project is built and gain hands-on experience. As such, preference will be given to those students that are pursuing building construction; construction management; or architectural, structural or civil engineering as areas of study.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills and pay attention to detail. If you are a self-starter who is motivated to build a career within our fast-paced, performance-based environment, we would like you to apply.

While we offer both 4 and 8 month coop terms, we encourage students to apply for the 8-month term to gain valuable training, and garner more knowledge and experience during the practicum.

Project Safety Coordinator

Safety is the most important consideration on our sites. Candidates should have the following minimal requirements to be considered for the position of Project Safety Coordinator:

  • Certification as a Project Safety Coordinator
  • First Aid – Level 3
  • Trained in WHMIS– Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the construction industry

The successful candidate:

  • Will be well-versed in ITC’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manual and diligently implement and manage the Site Safety Program
  • We be driven and can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Will manage all site safety documentation and operational requirements proactively and accurately.
  • Will have well-developed communication skills.
  • Will develop positive working relationships with all trade personnel and teammates.
  • Will be detailed oriented in all aspects of documentation and reporting
  • Good knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) Regulations and Procedures for Provincial for Canadian Operations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Carpenter Apprentice

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of industry experience in residential concrete high-rise projects. Preference will be given to third- or fourth-year Carpenter Apprentices.
